The road to Nashville runs right through your hometown with  this premier talent contest sponsored by Country Radio stations just like yours.

Your local winners advance to state contest where prizes include $1,000 in cash and the opportunity to compete at the regional Ultimate Country Challenge where they will compete for the Grand Prize for $10,000 and the coveted Regional Title.

Hosting an Ultimate Country Challenge

Hosting an Ultimate Country Challenge is easy, fun and open to country radio stations across the U.S. It is a great way to promote local music and help discover country music’s next star.  Ultimate Country Challenge provides all the tools you need to host your local competition.

We will provide you with:

• 30 second & 60 second copy so you can produce local promos for your event.
• 60 second pre-recorded promo with specifics on the Ultimate Country Challenge.
• Easy processing for contestants to enter online and submit their MP3 or YouTube video for consideration.

Nontraditional Revenue:
When your station hosts the Ultimate Country Challenge, you have the opportunity to get it sponsored locally and provide some nontraditional revenue for your station.

Hosting:
• Email us and get signed up to be the market exclusive host of the Ultimate Country Challenge in your area. 
• Find a venue. A local bar or nightclub would be a great venue.
• Direct your contestants to the UCC link on your webpage.( We will provide you with a link to put it on your webpage that will allow your contestants to enter your local competition.)

Judges:
When selecting your judges, remember that local celebrities and on air personalities, make great judges. Ultimate Country Challenge will provide PDF downloadable forms for your judges and provide a printed certificate for the winner of your local competition.

Things you’ll need for your competition:

• Printed judges forms from our website
• Station banner
• Ultimate Country Challenge banner
• Table, chairs, pens and bottles water for your judges.
• A way to play MP3 or pre-recorded music
• Someone to run the sound. 

•  All proper cords and hook up for guitars, amplifier and full band set up.

• Mic stands and possibly a barstool for your contestants

Remember, if you’re having a band(s) you will need extra time for them to set up and tear down. You will need to set aside at least 2 to 2 1/2 hours for your competition. Keep this in mind when you’re setting a start time. Make sure you arrive early enough to get everything set up so you’re ready for your judges and contestants when they arrive. It’s a good idea to have your contestants arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the competition.

Other Tips:
• Consider making your local Winner the opening act for an upcoming concert or event you have coming to your town.

• If possible, it would be great to have rehearsal the day before your event. 
• If you don’t have a station photographer perhaps invite a local photographer to document your event, and take pictures of your contestants and the Winner.

Clean out your prize closet or get with your local sponsor(s) for Koozies and other cool gifts for your contestants and judges.

Ultimate Country Challenge is designed to find the most promising country music talent in America, giving these performers the chance to launch their professional careers, thousands of aspiring artist will compete annually for the Ultimate Country Challenge title.

This competition is open to vocal and or individuals or groups with up to seven members who have not performed on a record listed on the national record charts within 18 months preceding local competition.

There is a $25 reservation fee and all contestants must begin their competition by performing at the local Ultimate Country Challenge produced by you, their local Country Radio station.

  • Yes UCC is a market exclusive promotion. First come first served.

  • You will need room for 200, most any local bar, fair grounds or auditorium would be great.

  • You will need at least 3 judges.

  • No, we ask all of our radio partners to use the official UCC judges forms.

  • UCC has set the cap at 15 contestants, this will help keep your local contest to a reasonable time.
